The homeland of Odd Janko is enigmatic Bratislava, steeped in a rich tapestry of legends and folklore. The river Danube, like a murky ribbon, winds its way through the city, whispering tales of the past to those who dare to listen. In the infamous Vydrica district renowned for its bustling prostitution scene in the 18th Century, all social classes- aristocrats, traders, poets, lovers mixed and sought freedom of expression. The echoes of this hedonistic past still linger in the narrow cobbled streets of the Old Town as a reminder of a time when pleasure and indulgence prevailed.
 
We created a fragrance with the same provocative, unearthly and brooding mood- the scent of tangled sheets, elongated shadows and ancient rituals with the metallic tang of the Danube.

The odd 1 perfume emerged from the dreamscapes of odd Janko’s founder and creative director Mima Chovancova. It was composed and formulated for us by Jonathan Gilhooly- an artist and perfumer living in Brighton, UK. Jonathan designs bespoke and signature scents for those who desire unique fragrances beyond the perfume mainstream.
 
Our perfume is created, mixed and bottled by hand in small batches in our Brighton studio.
We use high-quality ingredients from certified UK suppliers.
No animal testing or animal-derived products.
